PACE
Started working the PACE program developed by Al Sears. WOW!! after I'm done I feel pooped. 5 sections with 50 seconds for exertion and 60 seconds relax. I mix it up with some old Tae Bo moves I remember and a Kettlebell. It rocks man.

Update on Weight
Weighed in today at 379 lbs. I notice some of the numbness has left my fingers especially on my left hand. My next object is to add in exercise. I am looking at Dr. Al Sears PACE program. I life the idea plus it only takes 30 minutes max 4 times per week. This coming week I plan to schedule a doctors appt to get some blood work done. I think for later this month would work well.

New Year New Me
Today I begin the Atkins diet program. My weight is 388lbs. Also, I have decided to try an experiment with my workout as with my weight so high my knees prevent me from walking any distance. I am going to use Dr. Al Sears PACE program for my workout. I will keep you informed.
Why lose weight? I ache all over, I don't even like myself I suffer depression and loneliness. I am always tired and I am afraid to try anything including going out in public except for my normal places. I want to wear good looking clothes again and experience life once more. I did this to myself because I have known what I need to do to lose weight but I have never felt worthy of it. That is another area of which I must work. I carry a lot of emotional baggage form my life.
I am also planning doctors visit this month to get all the blood work I need. I want a comparison for the journey to my new life.

100 Pound Challenge
I was golfing today and I thought about my condition. I weigh 366 pounds and need to lose this excess weight for my health and well being. So I have decided to create my 100 pound challenge. How can I lose this through Atkins and exercise. I can lose this weight without exercise but then I would be a little fat boy like I see online.

This past week has been horrible for me. I weighed in today at 366 lbs. I ate all wrong this week. I keep eating out at buffets and it's killing me. Today I am back on Atkins.
What I am learning is that I have a hyper sensitivity to carbs thus I will need to keep my carb intake below 30g per day for the rest of my life. I should probably start tracking my food intake and post it here.

Update - State Fair
Visited the Minnesota State Fair today. My once a year indulgence with crappy food. I had made that decision. My weight today was 356 lbs. I am down 35 lbs from my high of 391 lbs.
I did get some numbers today from a health fair inside the fair.
Total Cholesterol - 175
HDL Cholesterol - 39
Body weight % - 38.9% my goal is 20%
Fat weight - 138.4 lbs
Lean weight - 217.6 lbs
Total Body water - 76.21 liters or 47.1%
Body mass index - 48.3
My Est. Heel Bone Mineral Density - .426
T-Score - -1.4 High Risk

Day 1
Started Atkins Induction today. I found myself enjoying it as I decided that I would actually read New Diet Revolution to understand what I was doing. The first thing I discovered was that its not what you think. I find it to be a meat and vegetable way of eating with occasional fruit. I do have the goal of not only losing weight but getting to a natural food lifestyle. I have started to fear all the processed food that is in our diets in America. I think it is the major cause of obesity in America and the leading cause of health issues.
I started the day with bacon and eggs and had beef burgers with peapods and onions. I did make sure I picked up some broccoli. With butter broccoli is quite good.
My starting weight is 373 pounds.

Banting Diet - Revised
William Banting used the low carb diet to get his weight down to normal. Man was never made to eat grains but instead to live under a hunter gatherer lifestyle. So I have decided to experiment and revised Banting's diet into a more 21st Century plan.
